I don’t usually post things of a political nature here, but this is an issue that will affect everyone who uses natural health care products. This potentially includes not only such items as natural herbs and supplements, but also things like medicinal garlic and bottled water.

The intention of this omni-bus bill, as explained by our federal minister of health, is to protect Canadians from poorly manufactured products and to increase safety standards. However, my understanding is that the bill ends up over regulating many items, and appears to be worded in favour of the pharmaceutical industry.
